South Sudan civil servants delegation pays a visit to EAX


On Thursday April 28, a delegation comprising of 35 people from South Sudan paid a visit to EAX headquarters at Kigali City Tower, the main purpose of the study tour was to learn about the workings of the commodity exchange.

The delegation was headed by the presidential advisor of economic affairs, Mr Aggrey Tisa Sabuni who thanked the exchange and Rwanda as well for allowing them to make this tour, he also highlighted that the visit will be fruitful for South Sudan.

The delegates were trained by EAX Trading manager, Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju on how to use Nasdaq trading platform to buy and sell grains.

The country manager of East Africa exchange, Dr Kadri Alfah in his presentation explained to the delegates how the exchange started its operations in Rwanda, he also remarked that the exchange is seeking to expand to other East African countries including Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Congo and South Sudan.
